To all relevant entities:
The 27th National Steelmaking Academic Conference (2026) will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province from May 12 to 14, 2026. Hosted by the Steelmaking Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals, the "Metallurgical Safety, Green and Low-Carbon" sub-forum is organized by the Metallurgical Safety Technology Special Committee of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association, which is responsible for paper collection, presentation selection and sub-forum arrangement.
This sub-forum aims to build an interactive platform for experts, scholars, safety managers, technicians, safety technology providers and service suppliers in the metallurgical safety sector. It will facilitate discussions on metallurgical safety accident case sharing, prevention technologies and equipment for metallurgical safety accidents, identification of high-risk operation scenarios in metallurgy, and applications of digital and intelligent technologies in metallurgical safety, so as to boost the in-depth integration of safe production and green low-carbon transformation in the iron and steel industry.
We hereby issue a national call for special presentations, academic papers and technical achievements suitable for the sub-forum, and sincerely invite relevant institutions and individuals to actively contribute and apply. The details are announced as follows:
1. Collection Themes
The call focuses on the core needs of the integrated development of metallurgical safety and green low-carbon in the steelmaking sector. Contributions shall be industry-oriented, academic and practical. Specific themes include (but are not limited to):
Technologies and equipment for safety risk prevention and control in steelmaking production;
Identification, risk assessment and precise prevention technologies for hazardous and harmful factors in the whole process of steelmaking, refining and continuous casting;
Safe operation, intelligent monitoring and fault early warning technologies for core steelmaking equipment;
Safety and intelligent technologies & equipment for special metallurgical operations;
Prevention and early warning technologies for splashing, erosion and leakage risks of steelmaking furnaces;
Applications of intelligent technologies in steelmaking safety production;
Safety prevention technologies and equipment for steam spherical tanks in steelmaking;
Case analysis of typical safety accidents in steelmaking production.
Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings and presented at the sub-forum. Excellent papers will be recommended for publication in metallurgical industry journals and publications. All participants may attend all academic activities of the National Steelmaking Academic Conference. During the conference, the Metallurgical Safety Technology Special Committee will organize a roundtable discussion on typical safety issues in the metallurgical industry, and invites participating institutions to send safety experts to attend.
2. Participation Arrangements
