A safety testing platform for high-temperature molten metal storage and transportation vessels has been established, consisting of four professional research laboratories: a safety research laboratory for molten metal reaction containers, a safety research laboratory for melting and casting process containers, a safety research laboratory for molten metal transfer containers, and a safety research laboratory for non-ferrous smelting containers (as shown in the figure). Mainly targeting the types of accidents such as splashing, explosion, tilting, and leakage that occur frequently in the metal smelting process, reaction vessels (blast furnace, converter/electric furnace), melting and casting vessels (continuous casting, mold casting, electric slag furnace, electro-chemical melting and casting equipment), transfer vessels (torpedo tanks, molten iron ladles, steel ladles, and related transportation devices), and non-ferrous vessels (bath smelting furnace, autoclave, etc.) are taken as the prevention and control objects. The focus is on building a monitoring and testing capacity for the service safety of high-temperature molten metal containers, forming a technical support system for effective accident prevention and control, reducing and eliminating safety hazards in metallurgical process/equipment sources, improving the intrinsic safety of metallurgical processes, providing a basis for equipment safety monitoring/testing and safety supervision, and eliminating disastrous accidents.
Overall functional positioning of the platform:
(1) Job safety on-site service: Guided by on-site service, positioning the operation status and safety hazard investigation of high-temperature molten metal container equipment, on-site safety inspection, and safety assessment of process equipment.
(2) Job safety warning system and equipment integration: Guided by the integration research and development of new technologies, new processes, and new systems, positioning the development, debugging, and integration of online monitoring systems for job safety and accident warning.
(3) Online monitoring of job safety and accident warning: guided by online warning/prediction and prevention of job accidents, online monitoring and detection, accident warning, accident response, control of accident status, and real-time feedback elimination of safety hazards and multiple accident points in positioning job equipment and process operations.
