On the morning of January 15, the Metal Smelting Base launched a laboratory safety inspection paired with a special end-of-term safety check. Wang Min and An Lu, Deputy Directors of the Metal Smelting Base, Wang Wenwen, Director of the General Administration Department, and Li Cong, Laboratory Safety Secretary, carried out on-site inspections of relevant laboratories on the 1st to 5th floors of Block A, the 3rd floor of Block B, and the 1st floor of Block C in the West Zone of Changping Innovation Park.

This inspection focused on equipment status and storage safety, water and electricity safety in laboratories, as well as the safety management and operation of major hazard sources including pressure gas cylinders and hazardous chemicals. Rectification requirements and suggestions were proposed for on-site problems, and all laboratories were required to make immediate corrections and implement closed-loop management.

For laboratories that will not operate or open during the vacation, their safety principals must ensure safety measures are fully implemented: turning off water, electricity and gas, closing windows, locking doors, and affixing seals. For laboratories under construction during the vacation, priority should be placed on the management of temporary electricity use, hot work and safety protection during construction. Construction personnel must strictly abide by construction specifications, and rough construction or construction beyond the approved scope is strictly prohibited.

Relevant laboratory safety responsible teachers of the Metal Smelting Base accompanied the inspection and followed through on the relevant requirements.
